Job summary

Tenstorrent is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge customers, engineering, and AI inference services. This remote role baselines North America with preferred hubs in Santa Clara, Austin, or Toronto, offering high autonomy and direct customer impact.

You contribute production code, deploy systems, and clearly explain trade-offs to leadership and engineers alike. The role scales with experience and aligns with customer outcomes in AI compute workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software/engineer experience in relevant roles.
• Translate ambiguous customer requirements into verifiable acceptance criteria.
• Kubernetes at multi-node, HPC, or AI cluster scale experience.
• Observability and infrastructure automation skills (Prometheus/Grafana/OpenTelemetry).
• Familiarity with LLM inference serving engines/technologies (e.g. vLLM, Mooncake, NIM).

Responsibilities

• Contribute production code and operate deployments.
• Explain trade-offs to customer leadership and to core engineering teams.
• Build continuity between customers, engineering, and AI inference service products.
• Collaborate with customers to understand challenges and provide effective solutions.
• Uphold a high-autonomy, high-impact role with direct customer impact.
