Job summary

Rippling is hiring a Growth Design Lead to drive AI adoption across the product, shaping how admins and employees trust and use AI within Rippling. You will lead growth problems, experiments, and interfaces that move activation, adoption and retention while working with PMs, engineers and data scientists.

You will push for measurable improvements, craft clear test results, and mentor junior designers, ensuring the product delivers value without surprises for users.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of end-to-end product design experience shipping complex, high-impact products.
• A portfolio of shipped work showing measurable behavior change (activation, adoption, retention, or conversion).
• Experience setting growth direction for a whole product area and getting teams you don't manage to follow it.
• Hands-on growth design across onboarding, activation, and monetization (B2B or AI products a plus).
• Comfort with funnels, cohorts, and experiment design; ability to spot misleading results.
• Daily use of LLMs and AI prototyping tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar).
• Strong interaction and visual craft; ability to explain test results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Drive design for AI adoption across Rippling, from admin setup to daily use.
• Define activated AI user and guardrail metrics to protect retention.
• Build shared growth patterns to reduce independent team work.
• Run experiments with PMs and data partners; evaluate results for user impact.
• Design upgrade and usage-limit moments that feel fair and transparent.
• Engage with customers to identify how AI helps and where it fails.
• Use LLMs to sharpen problems and prototype in code with AI tools.
• Raise growth design standards and coach newer designers.
