Job summary

You will collaborate with IT, Information Security, Legal, Compliance, and Risk to drive governance decisions, track guardrails, and maintain audit-ready records. This role emphasizes staying current with AI governance requirements and translating them into robust controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
• 5–10 years of relevant governance or risk experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Model Risk Management in a regulated environment.
• Experience evaluating agentic AI risk and controls.
• Graduate degree in AI/ML, CS or IS preferred.
• Experience with governance controls for AI assistants and guardrails.
• Ability to assess AI necessity vs traditional software on risk and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of two Senior Analysts responsible for AI governance operations.
• Monitor AI tools and use cases to verify governance guardrails and risk mitigations.
• Coordinate cross-functional governance discussions with IT, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and other control functions.
• Own and administer the GRC tool to inventory and report AI use cases.
• Aggregate and report governance metrics for leadership and committees.
• Manage escalation workflows and remediation tracking for governance issues.
• Maintain governance policies, templates, and audit-ready records.
• Translate updates in AI governance and regulatory requirements into practices.
