New York State Department of Health seeks an experienced AI governance professional to review AI tool requests, assess risks, and coordinate with Security, Privacy, Legal, and Procurement. You will design role-based training on responsible AI, maintain the AI tool registry, and generate periodic leadership reporting.

The position requires strong policy writing, risk assessment, and project management skills, with experience in healthcare regulations and governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of experience in AI, CS, data engineering, data analytics, IT, or related field with AI focus.
• At least two (2) years of experience must be in AI.

Responsabilités

• Review AI tool requests for architecture, security, data privacy, and interoperability.
• Assess vendor AI/ML solutions for transparency, explainability, data provenance, and bias risk.
• Coordinate with Security, Privacy, Legal, and Procurement on intake and risk scoring.
