Qualifications

• 4+ years in communications or public relations.
• BA/BS in Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, English, or related field.
• Section 508 accessibility knowledge or technical writing cert preferred.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Tier 1/NACI background.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Federal health agency communications experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce and distribute recurring communications to VHA AI use case owners and enterprise staff weekly.
• Plan, promote, and execute informational sessions for VHA staff at least every two months.
• Draft, edit, and produce presentations and reports on AI inventory status and risk management for agency partners.
• Translate technical AI governance material into plain-language products for non-technical audiences.
• Build and maintain digital artifact repositories for AI guidance, SOPs, and FAQs.
• Support AI use case owner quarterly update cycles via working sessions and office hours.
• Coordinate with VA public affairs and reflect leadership voice in materials.
