Western Alliance Bank is seeking an Engineer I for the AI Forward Engineer team. The role blends coaching, strategy, and hands-on prototyping to accelerate AI adoption across banking processes.

You will work with business users and engineers to identify inefficiencies, build PoCs with Copilot Studio, M365 Copilot, and Azure, and translate needs into practical AI solutions that deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Exposure to M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, knowledge of cloud platforms and rapid prototyping tools.
• Awareness of Agentic AI space including LLMs and Agents.
• Good understanding of Prompt Engineering.
• Full stack development skills are a plus.
• Entry level knowledge of Financial Services or Banking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coach business stakeholders about AI usage to improve operations.
• Prototype AI solutions demonstrating business value.
• Assist in the design and development of engineering projects.
• Prepare technical documentation and support testing of unit code.
