Job summary

Washington Trust Bank is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer, AI Enablement in Spokane to partner with business units across the bank to identify, design, build, document, and improve AI-enabled workflows that help Sell, Service, and Scale the company.

You will translate business needs into practical solutions by combining business process understanding, data literacy, AI fluency, stakeholder communication, and lightweight technical implementation.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operationalizing AI-enabled workflows and automations.
• Ability to translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
• Knowledge of agentic AI concepts and tool-use patterns.

Responsibilities

• Embeds with business teams to map end-to-end processes across people, data, and systems.
• Designs future-state workflows with clear ownership and controls.
• Develops AI-enabled solutions combining agents, data, and automation.
• Documents decisions, assumptions, and handoff requirements for reuse.
