You will spend time on site with the people doing the work, partner day to day with a Forward Deployed Engineer from discovery through production, and make decisions with incomplete information to keep engagements moving.

We unify messy data after M&A, turn documents into clean structured data, replace spreadsheet workflows with real software, and keep data in sync across disparate systems. We embed engineers inside the company, ship a working prototype in 48 hours, and have production software live in about four weeks. More than 70% of the 10 largest PE firms have used ProSights.

What you would build

Problem discovery. Sit with operators, map the workflow as it really runs, and identify the bottleneck worth solving.

Engagement design. Turn a broad mandate into a clear outcome, delivery plan, success measures, and decision path.

Customer translation. Bridge executives, operators, data owners, and engineers so the team builds the right thing.

Adoption and change. Surface the policy, ownership, and incentive changes required for new software and clean data to take hold.

Portfolio learning. Package what worked into reusable playbooks for the next company and the next fund.

What the job is actually like

Spend time on site with the people doing the work, not at a distance writing recommendations.

Partner day to day with a Forward Deployed Engineer from discovery through production.

Make decisions with incomplete information and keep the engagement moving.

Run working sessions with CFOs, CTOs, functional leaders, and PE value-creation teams.

Own whether the solution is adopted and creates measurable value—not whether the deck was delivered.

Who you are

Operator-strategist. 4+ years in strategy, operations, product, implementation, consulting, or PE value creation.

Analytical. You can work through messy process and data questions; SQL or hands‑on technical fluency is a strong plus.

Commercially sharp. You connect a workflow problem to revenue, cost, risk, or enterprise value.

Excellent with people. You can earn trust across executives, operators, and engineers and move a hard decision forward.

High agency. You are NYC-based, happy to travel, and comfortable owning an ambiguous outcome end to end.

About the interview

Three to four conversations with the founders and team, followed by a paid work trial on a real customer problem. You will diagnose the situation, choose what matters, and shape an execution plan with minimal instructions. You will also meet the team over dinner, lunch, or coffee. For the right person, we can move from first call to decision in about a week.
