Job summary

U.S. News & World Report in New York is seeking a Senior Software Developer (Full Stack) to build data-driven web applications used by millions of visitors monthly.

You will work with React, Python, AWS, Google BigQuery and AI-first tooling, collaborating with product managers and designers to deliver end-to-end features, test and optimize code, and mentor junior developers in a fast-growing team.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of related or similar full stack experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, skills, agents, automations.
• Web styling with CSS preprocessors or CSS-in-JS.
• Server-side technologies, such as Python, Java, or NodeJS.
• Databases, such as PostgreSQL.
• Unix-based operating systems, such as Linux or Mac OS X, along with the shells and command-line tools available in those environments.
• Version control, such as Git.

Responsibilities

• A key contributor for a team of developers working with one of our verticals.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, mentor developers.
• Employ an AI-first approach to day-to-day investigation & development.
• Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Serve as a technical role model.
