EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn emerging AI capabilities into durable products. You will work close to users, decisions, and production code, applying owner-like discipline to prototype, secure services, and iterate quickly.

This role emphasizes responsible AI, production quality, and scalable design across the full stack, data, and enterprise integrations, with travel up to 50% and hybrid office attendance.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience delivering customer- or employee-facing software from concept to launch, adoption, and iteration.
• Strong full-stack capability across modern frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud technologies, demonstrated via shipped work.
• Hands-on experience building products with large language models, retrieval, tools, or related AI patterns.
• Evidence of automated testing and behavioral evaluation for probabilistic or variable outputs.
• Telemetry, debugging, reliability, incident response, and performance improvement ownership in live services.

Aufgaben

• Start with the user: work with users and domain experts to map workflows and identify where AI adds distinctive value.
• Test assumptions quickly: translate hypotheses into specs, prototypes, and small releases with early evidence.
• Own complete product slices: build coherent verticals across experience, services, data, AI, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior: design instructions, context, retrieval, and tool use with careful adaptation when warranted.
• Build the evidence system: create tasks and automated evaluations to prove usefulness, correctness, and accessibility.
• Connect outcomes to behavior: instrument journeys to relate adoption and task success to system metrics like latency and cost.
• Engineer for responsible use: ensure clear permissions, data handling, checkpoints, and graceful degradation.
• Own production quality: release incrementally, monitor live behavior, and turn failures into improvements.
• Make practical trade-offs: balance experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost with deterministic choices when appropriate.
• Contribute reusable patterns: share components and evaluation assets while ensuring performance in the product workflow.
