Job summary

The Codest is seeking a Solution & Fullstack Engineer to join an AI-first team working on a cross-asset post-trade platform for a leading financial group in Japan. You will own end-to-end development across Python backend and JavaScript frontend, delivering scalable solutions and collaborating with international teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software engineering, strong PostgreSQL knowledge, and experience with AI-assisted coding tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering experience, fullstack or backend oriented.
• Strong backend with Python and frontend with JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and automation.
• Experience in banking/fintech domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain fullstack solutions using Python on the backend and JavaScript on the frontend.
• Build modern, responsive UIs and integrate with backend services and APIs.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and components.
• Own technical solutions end-to-end from requirements to deployment.
• Work with PostgreSQL including queries, functions, and views.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve efficiency and quality.
• Promote best practices, code quality, and maintainable architectures.
• Collaborate with international teams to translate business needs into tech solutions.
