Qualifications

• 4+ years as a people manager or tech leader of software teams delivering customer-facing or compliance-critical software.
• 8-12+ years hands-on software development in backend systems; fintech or regulated domains a strong plus.
• Ability to lead through ambiguity, empower engineers, and manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
• Expertise in software design/architecture processes.
• Hands-on leadership while managing teams.
• Experience with frontend technologies.
• Experience with Agile development and SaaS technologies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferably experience with global teams.
• Deep fintech domain expertise in tax, payments, or tax compliance ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and develop a team of engineers responsible for indirect tax systems and e-filing.
• Bring customer-driven products to market that solve current needs and scale for the future.
• Build cross-functional relationships with Program Management, Business Analysts, and Development Managers.
• Inspire collaboration and empower engineers to extract the best ideas and deliver impact.
• Champion engineering best practices: code quality, testing, and architecture reviews.
• Drive AI-native engineering by adopting GenAI platforms and AI-assisted workflows.
• Scale a large engineering organization across multiple pods while maintaining high execution standards.
