Job summary

Perform is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Data Engineer to own and operate the data platform on Azure Databricks. You will work directly with physicians growth, member services, finance, and operations to translate business questions into scalable data products.

You’ll drive AI-first engineering practices, validate data through lineage and checks, and ship end-to-end analytics, models, and dashboards with a focus on regulated healthcare data. Hybrid work in the LA area is expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data engineering or hybrid data engineering/analytics.
• Hands-on Azure Databricks with Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.
• Strong Python/SQL, PySpark, and distributed processing.

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform design, build, and operation on Azure Databricks.
• Develop pipelines across Salesforce, SQL Server, Snowflake, and new cloud-native payments platform.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, validation, and documentation for downstream users.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business questions into data products.
• Apply AI-first practices using Claude Code and agentic development.
