Job summary

Charles Schwab Corporation in Southlake, TX is seeking an AI FinOps Development Engineer to shape AI adoption and cost governance. You will build data pipelines, APIs, dashboards, and governance capabilities across AI platforms, collaborating with Finance, engineering, architecture, and platform teams.

The role emphasizes developer enablement, scalable AI tooling, and transparent cost management. This is an on-site position focused on enterprise-scale adoption and governance of AI across Schwab.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, platform engineering, cloud engineering, FinOps, or a related technical role.
• Hands-on experience developing production applications, data pipelines, APIs, or analytics platforms.
• Experience with AI platforms and developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI, Anthropic, Vertex AI.
• Experience supporting token-, credit-, seat-, or hybrid AI pricing and consumption models.
• Experience with relational or analytical data stores with data modeling, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Understanding of cloud or SaaS cost management including budgeting, forecasting, allocation, and optimization.
• Ability to translate analytical findings into dashboards and reports for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of AI-enabled solutions that improve product quality and developer productivity across the organization.
• Design and enhance AI tools to support a diverse set of developers while ensuring scalability and enterprise alignment.
• Evaluate, pilot, and operationalize AI developer tools for enterprise fit and rollout strategies.
• Build reusable prompts, templates, and AI-augmented workflows to lower entry barriers for developers.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for AI-assisted development and engage with developer communities.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and platform teams to integrate AI capabilities into workflows and toolchains.
