Job summary

Charles Schwab, part of Schwab Technology Services (STS) Finance, is seeking a Finance Manager to own forecasting and budgeting for AI costs, including model APIs, GPU compute, and AI licenses. You will build driver-based models, develop scenario analyses, and track AI efficiency metrics to present ROI views for senior leadership.

You will partner with Technology and Procurement to source usage data, drive cost-saving levers, and establish chargeback reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting (MBA a plus).
• 5+ years FP&A, corporate finance, or infrastructure/cloud finance.
• Strong financial modeling including driver-based forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Experience forecasting cloud/AI usage costs (AWS/Azure/GCP, APIs, licenses).
• Hands-on with AI-assisted FP&A workflows and tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead budget and rolling forecast for AI costs (model API usage, GPU, cloud).
• Build driver-based models separating usage from unit price.
• Develop scenarios for AI spend drivers and model migrations.
• Track AI cost metrics and translate to unit economics and ROI for leaders.
• Lead monthly close, variance analysis, and planning for AI investments.
• Partner with Tech and Product to source usage data and identify cost-saving levers.
• Establish showback/chargeback reporting for AI spend visibility.
• Support procurement on AI vendor negotiations and usage tracking.
• Champion GenAI capabilities within FP&A with auditable workflows.
• Maintain risk controls around work product.
