Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Public Sector team. You will design, develop, and deploy bespoke AI-enabled solutions for defense, intelligence, and aerospace missions using the Agentforce platform.

You will partner with product and engineering teams, integrate AI/LLMs, manage data pipelines, and ensure secure operations in classified and unclassified environments, with travel 25-50% and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of software engineering, solutions architecture, or systems integration.
• Strong background in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Java, Python, Apex).
• Hands-on experience building solutions with AI/LLM technologies, including integrating LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Experience with data integration, API design, ETL, and AI/ML model deployment.
• Familiarity with analytics, data warehouses, and dashboards (Tableau, CRM Analytics, Snowflake).

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical advisor on high-profile engagements—designing, building, and deploying tailored Salesforce solutions for defense, intelligence, and aerospace missions.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to co-develop platform features addressing public sector requirements.
• Facilitate integration of AI/ML models, data pipelines, and automation for predictive maintenance and mission-critical decisions.
• Enable customers to use Salesforce for field operations, asset visibility, and secure collaboration.
• Work with security teams to accelerate operational approvals and comply with DoD IL5/IL6 requirements.
