Job summary

Salesforce seeks a highly experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to join the Public Sector team. You will be embedded with customers, delivering data science pipelines, AI/ML systems, and API-led integrations across defense, intelligence, and aerospace missions.

You will work on-premise at customer sites and travel to sites as required. The role emphasizes hands-on coding, system integration, and rapid prototyping, with collaboration across security-cleared environments and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on end-to-end delivery experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python/Java/SQL.
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms (MuleSoft) and data/AI systems.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Regrello, Temporal, Airflow).
• Ability to travel 50–75% to customer sites, including classified facilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as forward-deployed technical lead on customer engagements in defense and aerospace sectors.
• Architect and implement enterprise integration solutions using API-led patterns.
• Design and deploy workflow automation and data pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive end-to-end technical delivery.
