Job summary

Philips is hiring an AI Clinical Solutions Engineer for the Azurion Eye program in Asheville, NC or Nashville, TN. This hospital-based role partners with clinicians, product teams and AI engineers to translate clinical insights into AI-enabled product improvements, improving workflows and patient care.

You will identify clinical needs, validate AI workflows, gather real-world evidence, and support prototype deployments and regulatory alignment while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in CS, Information Management, Data Science, Econometrics, AI, Applied Math or equivalent.
• 7+ years developing software-based healthcare or medical technology solutions with clinician collaboration.
• Experience with AI-enabled healthcare products and FDA Design Controls in SaMD/SaNMD environments.
• Ability to translate clinical observations into product requirements and engineering priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify clinical challenges and translate them into AI-enabled product opportunities and requirements.
• Deploy and evaluate AI capabilities in clinical environments with structured feedback on usability and workflow fit.
• Validate AI outputs, identify edge cases and support model improvement with product teams.
• Work with Product Management and R&D to accelerate learning cycles and prioritise enhancements.
• Represent customer needs across AI, Clinical Science, Engineering, UX, Quality and Regulatory Affairs.
