TrendAI is hiring a Threat Detection & Response Engineer to explore AI-era threats and develop production-ready defenses. This mid-level IC role blends threat research with hands-on engineering and collaboration across threat intel, detection engineering, and AI/ML teams.

You will investigate new threats, prototype approaches, and translate findings into practical, integrated capabilities for our platform while growing toward senior levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 3+ years in cybersecurity, software engineering, or related field with threat detection experience.
• Experience building or contributing to production systems.
• Familiarity with security tooling and operational workflows.
• Basic familiarity with AI/ML concepts and MITRE ATT&CK.

Responsibilities

• Research AI-era threats and defensive tech.
• Build, test, and refine detection-and-response capabilities.
• Prototype new defensive approaches and document specifications.
• Collaborate with threat intel, detection engineering, and AI/ML teams.
• Communicate findings clearly to teammates and stakeholders.
