Job summary

Booker DiMaio, LLC seeks an AI Engineer with active Top Secret/SCI clearance to support mission-focused AI capabilities in a hybrid environment (up to 3 days remote, 2 days onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD). You will work with system and software engineers to apply existing LLMs to real workflows, building agentic solutions and coordinated AI agents.

The role emphasizes prompt engineering, multi-agent orchestration, and integration of AI into existing software, with a strong focus on reliability

Qualifications

Strong Python development skills with production-quality code.
Hands-on experience building applications on top of existing LLMs via APIs or self-hosted models.
Experience designing multi-agent or multi-step AI workflows with prompt chaining and agent orchestration.
Strong prompt engineering skills and experience evaluating AI outputs.
Experience integrating AI capabilities into existing software architectures (RESTful APIs, microservices).
Experience with AWS cloud computing platform.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of AI-driven solutions, building multi-agent workflows.
Integrate existing foundation models into software architectures via APIs and orchestration frameworks.
Design, test, and refine prompts and agent instructions to automate manual tasks.
Develop robust testing, evaluation, and validation for AI outputs before dissemination.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system and software engineers and domain experts.
Stay current with evolving LLMs and agentic AI tooling to identify practical enhancements.
