Welltower Inc. is building and operating a core AI platform in New York to support production applications via reliable data pipelines, model and agent orchestration, and ready-to-use APIs.

You will focus on reliability, data integrity, and converting one-off solutions into reusable platform capabilities while working onsite in NYC. The role emphasizes data security and governance across regulated environments to scale our data infrastructure responsibly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of backend, data, or ML infrastructure engineering, shipping production systems at scale.
• Strong data engineering depth, including pipelines and transforms that turn messy real-world data into usable structure.
• Experience building and operating APIs and services other engineers build on.
• Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration, agent frameworks, or model serving in production.
• Rigor around data security and access control, ideally in regulated or sensitive data environments.
• Based in the NYC metro area and able to work on-site.

Compensation and benefits

The base salary range for this role in New York is USD 160,000 to USD 220,000 per year. Salaries may vary by location, and the role may be eligible for a total rewards package that includes an annual bonus opportunity, equity awards through a long-term incentive program, and a comprehensive benefits suite.
