TEKsystems is seeking a contract AI/ML engineer based in Charlotte, NC, to design and develop AI-powered solutions that enhance coding efficiency and automate operations. The role emphasizes building ML models, OCR-driven data extraction, and creating decision-support tools for high-risk transaction analysis.

You will collaborate with engineering and business teams to identify new AI use cases and implement them across the organization, with a hybrid work setup in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• Strong software development background with Java, JavaScript, and Angular.
• Hands-on experience building, training, and deploying Machine Learning models.
• Experience with OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technologies and document intelligence solutions.
• Experience developing AI-powered applications and automation tools.
• Ability to contribute as a software engineer when not focused on AI/ML initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI/ML solutions that improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
• Build intelligent applications using machine learning models to automate business workflows.
• Develop OCR-based solutions to extract and process data from documents, forms, images, receipts, and PDFs.
• Create AI-driven decision support tools for use cases such as high-risk transaction analysis and customer risk assessment.
