Motion Recruitment is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to join their Data Science Engineering team in Raleigh, NC. This role involves driving the transformation of manual processes into AI-powered automation, applying cutting-edge solutions, and collaborating with engineering colleagues. The position is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits and the potential for conversion to permanent employment.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree and have over 5 years of software engineering experience in Java and Python. Experience with AI-driven systems and cloud-native environments is preferable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in Java and Python.
• 1+ years' knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and/or agentic workflows.
• Proven expertise building agentic AI solutions using frameworks such as ADK or LangChain.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions.
• Develop and orchestrate agent-based systems leveraging AI frameworks.
• Assess AI solution performance and identify improvements.
