The Sentience Company seeks a senior software engineer to tackle high-impact engineering problems across our memory and agent architecture. You will help build user-simulation tech and a platform to operate an agentic version of the user.

We value 3–10 years shipping production software, passion for AI and human psychology, and experience with Rust, Python, or TypeScript. Expect a collaborative, in-person, fast-paced environment in NYC.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years shipping production software, startup or founder background preferred.
• Passion across domains and unique strengths beyond coding.
• Experience with Rust, Python, TypeScript, React or AI tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to memory and agent architecture projects.
• Build platform to create and operate the agentic version of the product.
• Collaborate on the Sentience communication platform with cross-functional teams.
