Job summary

RapidSOS is at the forefront of intelligent safety technology in a fast-growing, mission-driven environment. The Voice AI team builds agents that triage alerts and translate between callers and call-takers, with end-to-end ownership from problem discovery to deployment.

You’ll work across Python backend, AI model behavior, and a React/TypeScript UI to configure and monitor agents. We value rapid experimentation, robust safety boundaries, and production-ready quality.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of back-end or full-stack engineering shipping production software end to end.
• Hands-on experience building AI/LLM applications and solid fundamentals in distributed systems and APIs.
• Ability to evaluate non-deterministic AI behavior using data and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of Voice AI agent capabilities from discovery to deployment and measurement.
• Improve conversational quality including latency, turn-taking, multilingual behavior, and protocol adherence.
• Design safety, reliability, observability, and incident response for production systems.
• Build automated evaluations, call-replay tools, and production metrics to identify regressions.
• Work across the stack from Python backend to React/TypeScript UI used by customers and operators.
