Job summary

BlueCargo is seeking an AI Engineer to own and mature our AI infrastructure, building on document parsing, governance, and evaluation pipelines. Your work will automate freight audit decisions and become a core competitive moat for the company.

You will extend parsing and rules pipelines to handle diverse audit modes, design autonomous workflows, and monitor model performance within a Python/AWS ecosystem, aiming to become a near-expert in the freight industry.

Qualifications

• Experience building and shipping production AI/ML systems.
• Strong Python experience, ideally with Pydantic.
• Experience with LLMs, agentic systems, and evaluation pipelines for AI/ML systems.
• Cloud experience with a popular provider (AWS preferred).
• High attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Curiosity and a desire to grow technically in the freight industry.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve AI-driven systems that automate freight audit decisions and defend against invalid charges.
• Extend document parsing and rules-creation pipelines for multi-mode audits.
• Build and mature evaluation pipelines to measure and improve model/agent performance.
• Design and build agentic systems moving from rules-based to autonomous workflows.
• Work within Python/AWS stack (e.g., Pydantic) to ship AI systems integrating with the platform.
• Become a near-expert in the freight industry over time.
