Job summary

HDR is seeking an Applied Data Scientist – AI Enablement to build internal AI capabilities and remove bottlenecks that limit HDR’s AI scale across the Transportation Business Group.

The role begins with internal solution development, data and technology improvements, and bottleneck analysis, then gradually shifts toward client-facing AI delivery and advisory work using proven, repeatable services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a closely related field or equivalent experience as a baseline.
• Experience with data engineering tools and languages and BI tools is required.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions addressing internal transportation business needs.
• Build reusable AI components, data pipelines, and scalable workflows.
• Manage full model lifecycle including development, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and improvements.
