Job summary

HDR is seeking an Applied Data Scientist – AI Enablement to build internal AI capabilities across HDR’s Transportation Business Group. This role focuses on developing AI solutions, improving data foundations, and removing bottlenecks that limit scale.

Initially internal, with eventual client-facing advisory work leveraging proven solutions. You will design reusable components, manage model lifecycles, and collaborate with IT and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with data engineering tools such as SQL, Power Query, and Pandas.
• 3+ years with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Plotly.
• Experience with Python and R for data science.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions for internal use.
• Build scalable data pipelines and reusable AI components.
• Manage full model lifecycle including deployment, monitoring, drift detection, retraining.
• Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to address data, system, and tooling bottlenecks.
