Job summary

Symetra is seeking its first Developer Advocate to help business teams and engineers maximize AI use. You will run trainings, share best practices, manage enterprise AI tooling, and create practical demos and content. A Bellevue area studio is available for in-person work.

You will influence both technical and non-technical audiences, building integrations and guides that accelerate AI adoption company-wide. This is a hybrid, full-time role with remote-friendly options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a technical communicator across engineering or enablement.
• Hands-on with AI coding agents and modern AI tools.
• Engineering ability to build integrations and demos (e.g., Python + APIs).
• Strong writing and presentation skills for docs, talks, and office hours.
• Ability to drive adoption and measure what works.

Responsibilities

• Help business teams use AI tools through training, onboarding, and support.
• Assist engineers with AI-assisted development via office hours and guidance.
• Manage enterprise AI accounts and tooling for accessible data and capabilities.
• Define success metrics for AI adoption and focus on effective practices.
• Create engaging content and demos to turn AI into practical use.
• Collaborate with Innovation, COE, analytics, and cloud teams on joint efforts.
