Job summary

Health Management Associates is seeking a seasoned Proposal Manager to lead end-to-end proposal development from handoff to submission and closeout. You will coordinate teams, maintain schedules, and ensure compliant, high-quality responses using approved AI tools.

The role drives win themes, reviews, and knowledge capture while collaborating with executives, writers, pricing, and other HMA organizations to align with client requirements and strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, in business, marketing, communications, English, public policy, healthcare, or related discipline.
• APMP membership or certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional proposal teams to meet schedules, quality expectations, and submission deadlines.
• Attend required meetings and serve as day-to-day proposal process lead with clear roles and deliverables.
• Provide just-in-time guidance to proposal contributors on practices, tools, and deadlines.
• Assess solicitations, handoff materials, complexity, risks, and timing to plan effective proposals.
• Manage both competitive and non-competitive proposals with oversight, including complex pursuits.
• Lead kickoff activities and maintain core management tools (calendar, compliance matrix, tracking, workspace).
• Monitor development from launch to submission and elevate risks affecting strategy, compliance, pricing, or quality.
• Coordinate reviews and inputs across legal, contracts, finance, HR, IT/security, subcontractors, etc.
