Job summary

Pinnacle IT seeks a Cybersecurity Solutions Advisor – AI & Emerging Technology to blend hands-on security engineering with client consulting. This cybersecurity-first role focuses on enabling secure adoption of AI and other emerging technologies, not development or data science.

You will work directly with clients to assess AI risks, design remediation paths, and personally implement security controls in Microsoft 365 environments, Entra ID, Defender, and related tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on skills securing Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access, Defender, Purview, and DLP.
• At least 1 year of practical AI technology experience.
• Ability to translate technical findings for executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead client conversations on proposed AI initiatives, business objectives, use cases, and technology requirements.
• Conduct AI Readiness and Security Assessments to determine security and governance for AI adoption.
• Evaluate IAM, permissions, data governance, endpoint security, monitoring, and other controls.
• Identify cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, data-governance, and operational risks of AI use cases.
• Translate technical findings into practical recommendations for executives and non-technical audiences.
• Develop prioritized remediation plans and secure paths forward for AI adoption.
