Job summary

Optiv is seeking a Principal AI Advisor to serve as a trusted partner for clients, combining security expertise with advanced AI knowledge to design secure, scalable AI programs. You will guide sales opportunities, collaborate with domain experts, and lead thought leadership across Optiv’s ecosystem.

In this Center of Excellence role, you’ll drive AI security strategy, align with stakeholders, and help clients navigate evolving AI risks while leveraging Optiv’s products, services, and partners

Qualifications

• BS/BA or equivalent and applicable work experience.
• Ten or more years in an information security role, preferably as a consultant, architect, team leader, or director.
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal day-to-day management.
• Able to work in a nimble team with responsive communication.
• Strong understanding of the current AI threat landscape, vulnerabilities, and defenses.
• Ability to lead technology-focused discussions and AI-related security.
• Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication for clients.

Responsibilities

• Drive pipeline generation of AI services and technologies to meet quarterly and annual quotas.
• Follow SOPs to achieve consistent sales success.
• Maintain expert knowledge of client security environments and risk appetite.
• Identify AI security concerns and map to Optiv solutions across domains.
• Cross-sell and upsell opportunities across clients and partner relationships.
• Lead scope, proposals, and follow-through to closure on opportunities.
• Participate in AI product/services advisement across Optiv's portfolio.
• Articulate how Optiv AI offerings meet client executive needs.
• Stay current on AI industry trends to support clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with service delivery to ensure consistent AI support materials.
• Engage with client executives (CxO) and other personas to define AI roadmaps and ROI.
• Maintain advisory relationships with key stakeholders and support teams.
• Maintain relationships with technology partners aligned to CoE and AI focus.
• Lead discussions to define security programs that span technology and services.
• Drive new discussions via industry networks.
• Perform requirements analysis and technology selection criteria.
• Coordinate demonstrations and security technology evaluations.
• Lead cross-organizational solutions leveraging Optiv portfolio.
• Align client expectations with the full Optiv solution portfolio for AI delivery.
• Identify emerging AI technologies for internal and client exposure.
• Promote Optiv portfolio and security awareness at events and in articles.
• Build a reputation as a trusted advisor across clients, partners, and the security community.
• Share client feedback with internal teams for continuous improvement.
