Job summary

Elliott Davis is seeking a Workflow & Resource Allocation Manager to optimize end-to-end production workflow across tax industry teams. You will deploy staff, balance workloads, and manage scheduling with autonomy aligned to firm priorities and capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• At least two years in a Tax Support Administrator or equivalent scheduling/production coordination role.
• Strong attention to quality, detail, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with cross-team collaboration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and tax software used by the Practice (CCH Axcess Tax, Scheduling and Workflow, CaseWare).

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day production workflow for assigned industry teams with autonomy to deploy staff and reallocate assignments by capacity and deadlines.
• Strategically analyze capacity, upcoming reviews, and priorities to restructure schedules before delivery timelines are affected.
• Resolve resource conflicts and eliminate bottlenecks by reassigning workloads across practice areas.
• Enforce delivery accountability and turnaround times across preparation, review, and completion stages.
• Lead workflow briefings and audit work-in-progress; provide real-time schedule adjustments.
• Develop recovery plans for aging or at-risk work and escalate only critical issues to leadership.
• Design onboarding workflows for new customers and map resources within the master production schedule.
• Support long-term scheduling and capacity planning with predictive resource visibility.
