Job summary

Nirvana is seeking a Program Leader to design and own a scalable underwriting program on our AI-native platform. You will lead the underwriting discipline, manage a large premium portfolio, and own distribution relationships to drive growth.

You will partner with leadership, engineering, product, and data science to shape workflows and the platform while building a high-performing program team focused on profitability and scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of underwriting in a specialty or commercial line.
• Track record of managing a large portfolio (ideally $50M+ in premium).
• Clear program thesis: niche, profitability, and data/tech edge.

Responsibilities

• Develop program strategy and risk appetite with senior leadership.
• Lead line underwriting to price risks and manage new business and renewals.
• Own brokerage relationships and build distribution networks for growth.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and data science to shape the platform and workflows.
• Manage relationships with reinsurers and capacity partners and report performance.
• Build and lead the program team as it scales.
