Job summary

Nirvana Insurance in San Francisco is searching for a New Programs Development professional to help build our next generation of insurance programs. You’ll uncover opportunities, recruit underwriting leaders, and launch programs on the Nirvana platform.

This hands-on, relationship-driven role reports to the General Manager, leveraging your deep insurance network to connect the right people, scale sourcing with AI, and shape a diversified, multi-line platform.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in insurance, with reinsurance/brokerage/program development experience.
• Established network across brokers, carriers, MGAs, and underwriting leaders.
• Proven track record of originating or launching programs and drivers of partnerships.
• Hands-on operator comfortable with ambiguity and using AI to scale sourcing and pipeline work.
• Clear communicator who aligns with Nirvana leadership and senior professionals.

Responsibilities

• Expand Nirvana's network across reinsurance brokers, fronting carriers, MGAs and underwriting leaders.
• Source program opportunities through brokers, carrier relationships, underwriting talent, industry events and market research.
• Build and manage a continuous pipeline of opportunities across multiple lines—from first introduction through launch.
• Build the business case for each program and help secure capacity with reinsurers and fronting carriers.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to shape portfolio strategy for a diversified, multi-line insurance platform.
