Job summary

Amazon in Austin, TX is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to build AI-enabled data infrastructure and agentic AI solutions at scale. You will implement streaming data pipelines, API integrations, and MCPs while collaborating with data scientists and engineers across global teams.

You will own end-to-end features from design through CI/CD and production monitoring, ensuring data readiness and robust production systems for field operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps practices and production systems.
• Designing and building distributed applications using AWS services.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship agentic AI solutions and AI-enabled data infrastructure.
• Develop Data MCPs and Analytical MCPs for self-service data access.
• Create streaming data connections and APIs feeding AI agents.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists/Engineers to ensure data quality and pipelines.
• Write tests, documentation, and maintain production readiness.
