Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. offers a Software Development Internship within the Mask Technology Center.

You will collaborate with software engineers to design and deploy AI-enabled solutions for semiconductor manufacturing, gaining hands-on experience across requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and feedback loops. The role emphasizes modern programming, data integration, LLM platforms, agentic workflows, and producing a production-ready AI solution by internship end.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Cannot graduate prior to September 2027.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and web services.
• Understanding of version control systems such as Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement AI-enabled solutions.
• Work with LLM platforms, AI agents, and prompt engineering techniques.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Participate in planning and code reviews.
• Create technical documentation and user guides.
• Test, troubleshoot, and improve software quality and reliability.
• Present project progress and final results to engineering and management teams.
• Follow Micron security, privacy, and software development best practices.
