Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, invites a Software Development Intern to join the Mask Technology Center's software engineering team. You will work with developers, AI practitioners, and stakeholders to build AI-driven tools that enhance manufacturing operations and engineering productivity.

You will gain hands-on experience with modern software development, large language models, agentic workflows, data integration, and deployment, delivering an AI-enabled solution by internship end.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related field; cannot graduate before September 2027.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar programming languages.
• Familiarity with databases and SQL.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and web services.
• Understanding of software development concepts and version control systems such as Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate with software engineers to design and implement AI-enabled solutions.
• Work with LLM platforms, AI agents, and prompt engineering techniques.
• Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Participate in planning and code reviews.
• Create technical documentation and user guides. Test, troubleshoot, and improve software quality and reliability.
• Present project progress and final results to engineering and management teams.
• Follow Micron security, privacy, and software development best practices.
