As a member of the Mask Technology Center (MTC) software engineering team, you will work directly with software developers, AI practitioners, and business stakeholders to build next-generation AI solutions that support semiconductor manufacturing operations. You will participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and user feedback.
The Software Development Intern will work alongside Micron software engineers to design, develop, and deploy applications that improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency. This role provides hands-on experience with modern software development, large language models (LLMs), agentic workflows, data integration, and application development. The intern will contribute to a meaningful project aligned with Micron's AI transformation initiatives while learning industry standards in software engineering, collaboration, and manufacturing technology.
By the end of the internship, the candidate will: Deliver a production-ready proof of concept or deployed AI solution. Demonstrate measurable productivity or efficiency improvements. Gain experience working within a professional software engineering team. Present project outcomes and recommendations to stakeholders. The internship culminates in delivering an AI-enabled software solution that demonstrates measurable business value.
