Job summary

El Camino Health is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support budget and operations using AI-powered analytics. You will work with the Finance team and department managers to drive data-driven decisions through budget development and variance analysis.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled financial modeling, dashboards, and automated reporting, with advanced Excel and Python/SQL skills. This position is onsite hybrid in Mountain View.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Management or related field.
• Two years’ experience in an analyst or similar position in healthcare, preferably in an acute hospital setting.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) for financial modeling, variance analysis, and reporting automation; prompt engineering skills strongly preferred.
• Experience with vibe coding or AI-assisted development to build financial tools, dashboards, or automated reporting workflows preferred.
• Solid understanding of decision support systems, cost accounting principles and financial systems.
• Experience with decision support systems (TSI, EPSI, Meditech, McKesson HPM or similar preferred).
• Advanced Excel and Python/SQL skills; automating financial analysis workflows using AI-assisted coding tools a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and project management to support budgetary and operational objectives.
• Liaise between Finance and department managers for financial performance and variance reporting.
• Develop annual capital and operating budgets, monitor bi-weekly productivity, and perform monthly variance analysis using AI-assisted analytics.
• Prompt, evaluate, and iterate on AI-generated outputs to surface actionable insights.
• Lead special projects including new departments or programs system set up and AI tool evaluation.
