Job summary

Spectral AI, Inc. in Dallas, TX is seeking a hands-on accounting leader to drive in-house SEC reporting, technical accounting, and the SOX 404 program. You will own 10-K/10-Q/8-K filings, the financial-statement workbook, and the external-audit relationship.

As a seasoned CPA with 5–8 years in public accounting and strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, you will leverage AI and automation to enhance reporting, journal entries, and close processes on-site at the Uptown Dallas headquarters.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience with public-company SEC reporting and technical accounting.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and ability to write technical accounting memoranda and prepare Forms 10-K/10-Q/8-K, including XBRL.
• Experience with SOX 404 implementation or remediation preferred.
• Experience with complex financial instruments (warrants, convertible notes, embedded derivatives) preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite and advanced Excel; transitioning work in-house from outside advisory firms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage drafting, review, and filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K with related disclosures.
• Own the quarterly and annual financial-statement workbook and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate XBRL tagging and SEC reporting calendar, ensuring Reg S-X/S-K compliance.
• Maintain journal entries, account reconciliations, and close processes.
• Oversee the internal SOX 404 program and external-audit relationship.
• Leverage AI/automation to enhance reporting and data analysis while maintaining controls.
