Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions in Irving, TX is seeking a Senior SEC Reporting Accountant to help build and enhance its public company reporting function. This role offers exposure beyond routine SEC reporting and involves creating processes, controls, and reporting infrastructure in a high-growth financial services environment.

You will work with Accounting, FP&A, Internal Audit, and leadership to develop robust SEC reporting, SOX controls, and technical accounting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA or active progress toward CPA strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of public accounting or SEC reporting experience.
• Big 4 experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting concepts.
• Experience with Workiva or SEC reporting software is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other public filings
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes, disclosures, and supporting schedules
• Research accounting guidance and assist with technical accounting analyses and memos
• Support the development and documentation of SOX-compliant internal controls
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal stakeholders during quarterly and annual reporting cycles
• Perform disclosure tie-outs, workpaper preparation, and filing support
• Assist with XBRL review and validation processes
• Partner with FP&A and leadership teams on variance analysis and reporting requirements
• Support process improvements within financial reporting and compliance functions
