Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an SDET Manager to lead Quality Engineering and software delivery transformation across the Medicare Sales & Acquisition ecosystem. This hands-on technical leadership role translates business workflows into scalable, automated testing solutions that boost speed, quality, and operational efficiency.

You will drive AI-driven test automation, migrate to AWS-native services, and mentor a high-performing SDET team while aligning with enterprise goals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Software Development Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related technical disciplines.
• 2+ years leading automation strategy or engineering teams.
• Hands-on with JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Python.
• Experience building and integrating APIs and distributed systems.
• Hands-on with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, Karate).
• Proven experience with test automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
• Experience testing React-based applications, including component-level and end-to-end UI testing.
• Hands-on with AI/GenAI tools.
• Familiarity with Jira for workflow, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Ability to work East Coast business hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of AI-augmented Quality Engineering solutions.
• Drive migration of automation frameworks and test data management onto AWS-native services.
• Advance the team's testing model from AI-assisted to agent-orchestrated QE.
• Translate business processes into actionable automation strategies.
• Design automated SDLC pipelines with requirement-to-test generation and validation.
• Establish quality gates for AI-generated test artifacts and automation outputs.
• Integrate AI-based tooling into CI/CD pipelines and enterprise platforms.
• Drive adoption of modern automation frameworks into CI/CD with quality gates.
• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of SDETs and set career paths.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, compliant solutions.
• Identify high-value opportunities for AI-driven test automation.
• Establish reusable automation assets and accelerators.
• Monitor engineering metrics and communicate strategy to stakeholders.
