Job summary

Caseware seeks an SDET II to own automated testing end-to-end within their squad. You design, implement, and execute tests across a cloud-native platform, moving coverage toward API and integration testing, while maintaining a reliable, fast CI/CD pipeline.

You will mentor juniors, review peers’ automation, and contribute to quality metrics and release readiness. Remote-friendly with global collaboration in a fintech-centered product suite.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in quality engineering, preferably SaaS or cloud-native
• Experience with web app and microservices testing
• Hands-on with Cypress and TypeScript or willing to learn quickly
• Knowledge of API contract and integration testing (Pact, K6)
• Understanding of cloud, microservices architecture and databases
• Version control with Git and collaboration in CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with DevOps collaboration and observability tooling
• Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Interest in AI-powered testing tools and practical limits of automation

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements and executes automated tests across the platform.
• Owns automation testing for new features in the squad.
• Reviews and maintains automation scripts to stay green.
• Investigates and fixes automation failures without escalation.
• Contributes to improved test coverage and faster releases.
• Shifts testing emphasis from UI to API and integration testing.
• Improves E2E test stability via data setup and isolation.
• Performs root-cause analysis using logs and API calls.
• Assists in planning what to automate and writes credible effort estimates.
• Collaborates with DevOps to enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentors junior SDETs and participates in code reviews.
• Works with AI testing harnesses to validate usefulness.
