Job summary

MaintainX is seeking a Product Design Manager to lead a team of product designers who create AI-powered, high-stakes workflows for maintenance and asset management. You will set creative direction, mentor designers, and partner closely with Product and Engineering to shape outcomes rather than just ship screens.

You will guide research-informed design decisions, hire and develop talent, and drive a culture of excellence while integrating AI into design practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product design experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise platforms.
• 1-3 years of experience managing product designers.
• Strong product thinking and craft judgment.
• Ability to build trust and lead with clarity and accountability.
• Interest in AI-powered product experiences and using AI tools to improve design quality.

Responsibilities

• Own design quality across your team's product areas for web and mobile.
• Lead and grow a team of 4-6 product designers; conduct 1:1s and drive career growth.
• Translate product strategy into focused design execution; set a clear team vision.
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineering leads to align priorities and unblock delivery.
• Contribute to design critiques and invest in the design system for consistency.
• Lead your team in adopting AI tools to accelerate design work.
