The role co-owns the operating model, mentors the Buy Desk team, and partners with sourcing, contracting, and FP&A to define future-state intelligent buying; base pay range is $117,000–$158,500 in San Diego.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring or guiding a procurement/operations team.
• Strong executive-facing communication to senior stakeholders.
• Track record of leading transformation initiatives.
• Hands-on AI-assisted process design with Claude or similar.
• Critical thinking at program/strategy level.
• Understanding of accounting codes, contract terms, and SLAs.
• Advanced Excel and reporting dashboards experience.
• Extensive Coupa experience; familiarity with SAP/Ariba/Oracle.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years procurement operations with leadership scope.

Responsibilities

• Co-owns evolution of PR-to-PO operating model and ERP upgrade.
• Apply Day 1 lens to end-to-end workflows to improve efficiency.
• Champion automation and AI-assisted approaches in sourcing triage.
• Develop AI-enabled development capabilities and promote AI adoption.
• Partner with Sourcing, Contracting, Payments, FP&A, and Accounting.
• Own Purchase Requisition/PO change QC and end-to-end lifecycle.
• Set compliance standards (SOX, contract review, intake accuracy).
• Own KPIs, dashboards, and e-procurement platform configuration.
• Provide functional leadership and mentorship to Buy Desk staff.
• Indirect supervision of contingent workers.
