Job summary

Silverthorne Advisory Group seeks a PP&E Specialist to support IC clients with capital assets, real property, and asset governance. You will apply accounting expertise to improve asset accountability and audit readiness while leveraging data analytics and AI to enhance asset visibility and automate reconciliations.

In this role you will collaborate with finance, logistics, acquisition, facilities, engineering, and IT stakeholders to modernize property management processes across federal

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• CPA certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• 5+ years supporting federal financial management, PP&E accounting, capital asset management, or audit readiness.
• 2+ years supporting Intelligence Community, DoD, or other national security organizations.
• Strong knowledge of federal PP&E accounting principles, capital asset lifecycle management, and financial reporting.
• Experience with federal financial statement audits, internal controls, and audit remediation.
• Knowledge of FASAB standards related to PP&E.
• Experience with Treasury Financial Manual, USSGL, and agency financial reporting requirements.
• Experience reconciling financial, acquisition, logistics, and property records.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to present complex concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple consulting engagements and client priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support IC clients with PP&E accounting, governance, and asset management initiatives.
• Evaluate compliance with federal PP&E standards, policies, and internal controls.
• Contribute to audit readiness by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
• Perform reconciliations between GL balances, asset records, logistics systems, and property systems.
• Analyze asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, depreciation, and lifecycle activities.
• Ensure capitalization policies align with FASAB guidance and agency requirements.
• Conduct physical inventory validation and asset existence testing.
• Develop process narratives, SOPs, and internal control documentation.
• Leverage AI/data analytics to automate reconciliations and asset insights.
• Support ERP modernization and data migrations for property management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve enterprise asset management.
