Job summary

Boundless Immigration is seeking a Head of Engineering to rebuild our AI-native platform for legal tech in a highly regulated domain. You will lead a growing team of engineers, shape technical direction, and drive speed with accuracy and observability.

You will partner with product, design, legal and operations to advance the AI transition, establish a scalable software factory mindset, and ensure architecture decisions are durable and well-documented for long-term success.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering
• 4+ years managing engineers (including managers or senior ICs)
• Experience shipping AI into production and leading AI-first transitions

Responsibilities

• Build and scale the engineering team, retain top performers and hire new talent
• Own end-to-end engineering delivery: roadmap, quality, on-call, platform health
• Lead and mentor while coding and contributing where needed
• Drive AI transition and ensure teams build with LLMs, retrieval, and structured tools
• Build and maintain foundational infrastructure for agents and AI-powered features
• Transform development processes into a software factory while aligning with product and operations
