Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a dynamic Technical Lead to join our Legal Operations team, driving infrastructure development for scalable, automated legal workflows within a fast-growing AI technology company.

You’ll partner with the General Counsel and VP, Operations to architect solutions that transform high-volume legal tasks into reliable, measurable systems while shaping non-technical functions for growth.

Qualifications

7+ years of backend software engineering experience; production systems at scale.
Some working knowledge of legal concepts or operations is desirable.
Strong business judgment and ability to translate legal workflows into engineered solutions.

Responsibilities

Architect and build the Legal and Operations Engineering platform, replacing manual, high-volume work with scalable automation.
Own the enterprise contracting automation system end-to-end.
Ship in-product legal surfaces built on company tech and AI tooling.
Consolidate ad-hoc legal bots, prompts, and scripts into a documented, observable platform.
Partner with General Counsel and VP, Operations to translate requirements into scalable tooling.
Evaluate and retire third-party tools in favor of internal systems with competitive advantages.
Serve as a case study for forward-deployed engineering in non-engineering functions.
