Upbound Group, Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer II to lead the design, engineering, and operation of our Internal Developer Platform across AWS and GCP.

You will shape IaC, CI/CD, security, and observability while advancing AI-powered tooling and developer productivity. You will collaborate with Development, Security, Architecture, and DevEx teams to improve platform reliability and delivery velocity, mentor engineers, and drive modern identity and event-driven architectures across critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS or engineering.
• 6+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or software eng.
• 2+ years building AI/LLM-powered solutions.
• Proficient with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and operation of scalable platform services across AWS/GCP.
• Advance IaC via Terraform modules and automation.
• Architect CI/CD pipelines with GitOps and progressive delivery.
• Build observability, SLOs, and incident response capability.
• Mentor teams and codify engineering best practices.
• Develop AI-powered developer experiences and tooling.
